Having started-up in the1820's on our current site in Bo'ness, we became formally established in 1856 and have been in continuous production ever since. For the entire period the company has been owned and run by the Ballantine family. As a general iron foundry, we have supplied the construction and engineering industries with tens of thousands of different castings. Since the 1980's, we have proactively dealt with the threat of cheap foreign imports and adverse economic conditions by developing niche markets to capitalise on our unique skills. Now with a structural steel business, we supply specialist ornamental structures to order and are metalwork restoration experts. With over 100 employees and 250,000 patterns we can supply and erect a huge range of structures.
