Welcome to Ballantine's Iron Foundry The Home of Creative Ironwork

Ballantine Bo’ness Iron Co. has a rich and expansive history of metalwork in the UK and beyond. Having started up as a general iron foundry in the early 1820s, we became formally established in 1856, and have been in continuous production ever since. For the entire period the iron foundry has been owned and run by the Ballantine family and is now in its 7th generation.

We have built up a solid reputation for combining the most intricate and traditional craftsmanship skills with the most advanced, modern engineering techniques. For this reason Ballantine Bo’ness Iron Co. has, for the last two centuries, been one of Britain’s foremost producers of architectural, ornamental and structural ironwork in the UK and beyond. We have the same passion and pride in the quality of the work we produce today as we did when we first started.

Our range covers literally every aspect of cast iron; gates and railings, bridges, major building works, street furniture, glasshouses, sculptures, municiple castings, drainage castings, fountains, bandstands, lamp-posts and columns, staircases, balconies and much, much more.

So please look through our website to see exactly what we are capable of as one of the few large iron foundries left in the UK and the only foundry that can fulfill entire contracts without sub-contracting any section of the work. We hope you enjoy your visit and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards

Gavin Ballantine
