Portmohomack Drinking Fountain Refurbishment of the Historic Fountain

We fully restored this classical 19th century Walter McFarlane drinking fountain as part of a renewal project for the town. The fountain was removed back to our works where in depth inspections were carried out on the metal and the stability of the structure itself. On seeing the results we restored the fountain where necessary, salvaging as much of the original metalwork where possible, and then carried out the installation. The results can be seen in the detail of the photograph.
