Scottish Life Assurance Building, Edinburgh
Complete interior and exterior restoration
This was a dramatic conversion of the old cable tram depot in Edinburgh. The whole building was to be restored to the highest standard with all the ornamental metalwork faithfully re-introduced from ground level to the roof. This included internal staircases and automated car park gates.
Our contract was done in two phases over 18 months both completed within budget and on time. Fifteen year on the building and metalwork are still in excellent harmony; traditional iron and stone work combining well as they have for hundreds of years.
