Overseas Projects

We have completed a number of overseas projects for clients around the world and to this day one of our largest clients in in Scandinavia where we export bollards, tree grills, railings and lamp columns (please see our catalogue).

In the 1980s we exported over 1000 tonnes of ornamental ironwork to the Middle and Far East on a monthly basis in a number of different projects for Royal Palaces and Governmental Buildings.

Please find below a brief synopsis of the larger jobs that we have carried out around the world. With lowered shipping costs and our extensive knowledge of working abroad we are well placed to take on any project around the world.


Royal Palace Entrance, Jeddah;
Responsible for designing, supplying and delivering over 300 tonnes of ornamental ironwork to the Royal Palace in Jeddah. The work carried out was an exact replica of the ironwork surrounding Buckingham Palace and was composed of railings, gates, lampposts, bollards and canopies.

Royal Naval Dockyard, Bermuda;
Ballantine Bo’ness completed the contract for the supply of tree grills, duct covers, lampposts and bollards at the Naval Dockyards in Bermuda.

Kuwait Conference Centre, Kuwait;
Ballantine Bo’ness Iron produced over 840 metres of cast iron railings, bollards, lamp-posts and 28 large gates for the Kuwait Conference Centre. In total we produced and manufactured over 480 tonnes of ornamental ironwork for this project

Apergus Buildings, Athens;
Pattern work, design and supply for over 300 metres of variable railings. This included the creation of over 75 different patterns over a one year period. In total we provided over 200 tonnes of ornamental ironwork for the project.
