John Osbourne Glasshouse, Windsor Castle

Complete Refurbishment

This key project was undertaken by Ballantine Iron and Ballantine Engineering. It included the complete dismantling and full refurbishment of John Osbourne’s 1841, 120 tonne Rosewalk Glasshouse at Windsor Castle, one of only 2 remaining in the UK today.

The whole metal structure included almost 2 kilometres of copper astragels supplied by Ballantine Engineering. The entire project was completed end to end in house and the results speak for themselves.
