Supply and Fit of Canopies around the Royal Mews

A regeneration project in the early 1990s went underway to renovate the Royal Palace Mews at Buckingham Palace. The project for all of the iron work was undertaken by Ballantine Bo’ness, where the castings were made and fitted in house and then delivered to site where we handled the site erection.

In total over 94 metres of canopies were supplied and fitted including over 12 cast iron columns, 17 spandrels, 4 large lamp brackets and over 100 metres of cast iron box guttering. The project was completed in time and on budget and still looks stunning nearly 20 years on.
